Milan Fashion Week: Spotlight Jil Sander

Oh how Trend.Stop never ceases to adore the Jil Sander look. She has made the usually considered uncool pinks and greens modern with by using them obviously. This is mixed in other looks with more softer tones. A Trend.Stop favourite is the bulbous trousers that look as if the floral print is made inside out. As ever it's the clean look of Jil Sander that makes her stuff cool! She contradicts fashionable taste! The silhouete is huge, wouldn't you say? But doesn't this make you want the wide trousers and bubble dresses more. We say...Yes. The fabrication, silhouete and boldness all get a thumbs up.

Milan Fashion Week: Albino

Trend.Stop loves the blunt use of colour and the folds crisp folds of fabric that are mixed with softer drape. The shoes...a bow just on the right shoe...makes them modern and cool without making them uber girly. Nice one Albino.

Milan Fashion Week: Spotlight Prada

OMG...has anyone ever seen the beauties that Miucci Prada came up with this season for Spring/ Summer collection. Platform shoes have a whole new meaning for men & women! Trend.Stop wants some PLEASE!

Prada...YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELF...Yet again. The shoes, the shades, the shape print, Miucci Prada cannot do wrong! She has taken clothes that aren't considered fashion and transformed! This includes uniforms of all kinds, hospital scrubs; did anyone think they could be fashionable? Not until today! Prada has fun with her clothes. The playful prints, in particular one of monkeys dancing on bananas are a winner. Instead of ridiculing the Hawaiian shirt she's made it cool! The colour pallette of primary colours makes ordinary uniforms extraordinary just with a blast of one colour, One of the key Trend.Stop favourites are the shapes of jackets, they're are slightly oversized as if you've just popped on your dads coat. But the cut is made with precision to make crisp curves on the shoulder. Oh, Prada...

Milan Fashion Week: Gucci

Milan Fashion Week: Maxmara

Bold colour, very clean cut and little details are the key to Maxmara this season and it goes down a treat. The looks are easy to wear yet meticulously constructed and the sex appeal is something a strong women who want to make a statement without being too overt!

Milan Fashion Week: Sportmax

Milan Fashion Week: Antonio Marras

Trend.Stop loves Antonio Marras new colour pallette for spring summer. Black is mixed in subtly with whites and flesh tones and the mix of auburn makes it fresh. The silhouete is fun yet easy to wear; with the more pear shaped looks mixed with simple refined suits. We also love the prints, the dice on a cropped tops are fun! It's the playfulness mixed with desirabe pieces for women that makes this collection truly a winner.

LFW S/S 2011: KTZ

Trend.Stop loves the embossed leather dresses and shoes...more please

LFW S/S 2011: Matthew Miller

Just an all round great collection. What Trend.Stop particularly liked was that one jacket and a pair of shorts each had a nifty little trick...the shorts could be folded up very small in the the fully functioning pocket and likewise with the jacket. This doesn't affect the look of the garments when unfolded because of the tech fabrics. Matthew Miller certainly was a win for Trend.Stop. It was a very wearable yet cool collection for today's man.

LFW S/S 2011: Christopher Raeburn

It was great for Trend.Stop to see some inspiring sustainable clothes at Christopher Raeburn. All the fabrics for the collection, are sourced from unused fabrics such as fabric from old parachutes that can no longer be used. The bunneys are then made from scaps of unused fabrics. Trend.Stop loved the cheeky model at Christopher Raeburn making up one of their cute little bunnies. We didn't mind some of the designs and silhouetes either, considering Trend.Stop wouldn't say it's a follower of Ski wear.

LFW S/S 2011: Cooperative designs

LFW S/S 2011: Matteo Bagliaroi

LFW S/S 2011: Katie Eary & Lonsdale

Do you want to go to London Fashion and see models boxing...YES you do!

NewGen Men

The NewGen Men + Fashion East Men's Installation were definately ones to watch. Keep reading the upcoming blogs from Trend.Stops thoughts on Chrisopher Raeburn, Matthew Miller and Cooperativedesigns..

LFW S/S 2011: Sibling Presentation

LFW S/S 2011: James Long

James Long blew us away! Trend.Stop never says no a mix of spilled paint and clothes. It is must be something to do with the accidental and the beauty that comes from the unnexpected. But nothing was accidental here, even the invites where made of leather to match the leather printed jackets. It wasn't just the printed shorts and trousers we loved at Trend.Stop but the Knits...Beautiful in there simplicity and just very wearable.

LFW S/S 2011: J.W.Anderson

Where to start...there was so much beauty a J.W.Anderson. This look is very young, but cool and easy to wear. We love the throw together look, its nice to see something different from the sleeker collections and the softer pallete is will make people chill out and dream. Life's not really that hard...
Trend.Stop loved the back's of J.W.Anderson looks. No part of the body was gone fogotten. The old school printed photos seemed fresh compared most face printed teeshirts. We also enjoy what looks like tied up jumpers worn back to front with embellishment on it...men are becoming more and more girl. And Trend.Stop doesn't mind...

Loved these printed trousers, in moderation today's man could definately been seen wearing these
The shoes were kooky, but definately interesting. Trend.Stop loved the fringing and the rough look.

LFW S/S 2011: Christian Shannon

Christopher Shannon featured panelled cut outs, dusty colours of pinks mints and yellow with a bas of white and backpacks. It was an easy to wear collection from the simplicity to the breathable fabrics. The printed shirts, crazy knit and face paint gave the idea that the Shannon man wants to be somewhere else...dreaming, having fun and playing...

Quick Look: The Convience Store

And the favourite piece...This Superfertive super stars head necklace at £636 would look amazing with any outfit. A little humour goes a long way...
The Convience Store exhibition had some designers to watch at Portobello House last night. With the chilled out atmosphere it was very nice to be there and take a look at the exhibition at your leisure. Trend.Stop's favourite was E.Stott, which featured an adoring Pony Skin Biker Jacket shaved at the shoulder. The rough sheering on the shoulder left not only a slicker shoulder silhouete, but the most softest touch on the hands. You won't be able to say no...unless buying Ponyfur isn't your style.

Wode by Bouddica, a revolutionary way to market perfume/ aftershave. Trend.Stop got mixed up in a bit of a spray paint fight with this perfume, lucky the blue paint dissolves into your skin leaving the somewhat confusing scent behind. Wode has a beautiful masculine soft touch that men and women alike would be happy to wear, it's the afterscent of spraypaint that doesn't appeal. Would we stil buy it...

LFW S/S 2011: Christian Blanken Presentation

Christian Blanken although a bit on and off definately had some positively. The format of the presentation was very interesting. The models, some of who definately didn't fit in, walked in ones and two and stopped on the way to do stretches. Christian mixed sportwear and tech fabrics with glistier femine jackets and shoes.

LFW S/S 2011: Ioannis Dimitrousis

Ioannis Dimitrousis's knitwear was more then masterful. The technique: the base is knitted first, the another length of knit is done onto before being rolled up to create these sculptoral forms. Trend.Stop wonders where you could take this idea and how far? We, at Trend.Stop love the Innovation! Where, however are you going to wear these garments, a couple are after all complete with nipple tassles!

LFW S/S 2011: Tata Naka stand

Trend.Stop loves the feminine, fresh and white at Tata Naka

LFW S/S 2011: Hannah Marshall stand

Trend.Stop never says no to a bit of nakedness...Is this why we were drawn to the Hannah Marshall stand or was it the sheer workmanship that went into creating some of the papery form created on top of the garments? We think its both!

LFW S/S 2011: Felder Felder stand

Just a few at Felder Felder...

LFW S/S 2011: Jonathan Saunders

Trend.Stop adored this new ultra feminine Jonathan Saunders look. Not only did the collection have a flourish of beautiful colour combinations, but its was chique, modern and feminine whilst having a sportswear edge...It was an all round beauty. Trend.Stop has been a fan of shirts up and down the New York and London runway. These above are definately worth mentioning purely for the print, simple silhouete and colour combination. Trend.Stop would be happy to pick up any piece from the Jonathan Saunders collection.
The mix of sportwear and dressier looks worked a wonder. The sleek simple make up was nice to see in comparison to the throwback looks elsewear on the runways. Well done Saunders.
