S/S 2012 London: Mark Fast

This seasons see's Mark fast include some pieces that aren't knitwear! Who'd a'thunk it! We love the intense orange that are fiery on the body with twisting turning print on them. Still....it's the knitwear he knows the best. Among Fast's body clinching classics, there are an array of full length dresses to choose from this season and Trend.Stop is unsure of their favourite! The tassled 1920's looks are particularly interesting, some with cut out panels on the body. He also adds some knitted underwear into the mix which are layed over by very light knit dresses. There's also some looks for the older lady with some knitted shrugs and we can't forget the tasselled necklaces. They make a superb addition to the tasselling on the dresses. Loved it!

S/S 2012 London: Christopher Kane (steals the season)

We have to start by saying, here at Trend.Stop we are never sure quite what to expect going into a Christopher Kane show. But after a couple of seasons that were quite a sight on the eyes. This one has come out top form on the London runways. Not only are the pieces exquisite to look at and desirable but the innovative craftsmanship, use of fabric and embellishment has not gone unnoticed. Christopher Kane this season is the reason definition why London fashion exists. It may move slowly in terms of form or silhouette but it definately makes a statement. Kane's collection manages to very successfully range from bright metallics, subtle tones, nudes, embellishment and florals without looking brashly put together. Every element is considered down to the exact folding of the fabric, we adore the folds he's created in shirts and dresses to enhance the female form. Definately a show worth seeing.

S/S 2012 London: Peter Pilotto

Peter Pilotto's another designer this season whose taking us to depths of the earths= from the oceans, to the sky and making us feel all animalistic. This collection was awash with form that accentuated and transforms the female from. The fabric folds and twists making the dresses into beautiful sculptures. Thumbs up from Trend.Stop.

S/S 2012 London: Antonio Berardi

There's be a lot of white at London fashion Week this season and Antonio Berardi is no exception. He uses straight line, serious swarovski's that create the impression of armour and dotted colour to break up the white in a beautifully elegant way. The level of craftsmanship gone into the pieces from hand sewing to cutting techniques would make anyone want just one piece of of Antonio Berardi's collection this season.

S/S 2012 London: Paul Smith

Trend.Stop wants to be the Paul Smith woman. She's confident, strong, is on her way somewhere constantly but still is stylish! Love Love Love the colours...

S/S 2012 London: Marios Schwab

Marios definately keeps the sex appeal alive and there's no kidding when we say we LOVE it! This is one Spring Summer collection where a little black goes a looooong way! The collection is full of tulle, sheers, swarovski's and so much workmanship. Attention is paid here to every little detail. We especially loved the swimsuits that show a bit 'o' tummy. The subtle pleats amd gathers in the tulle define the body, creating beautiful angles and leaving us longing to be a Marios's lady.

S/S 2012 London: Holly Fulton

Holly brings us some of our favourites that we'd expect (high waisted long trousers and sexy A-line dresses) but mixes it with a lot more playfullness of print. We get taken under the ocean, out into the sunshine and across to see the zebras! Trend.Stop especially loves the high waisted print shorts that at first glass look like a skirt!

S/S 2012 London: Nicole Farhi

It's not just all all floaty, away with the fairies today and London Fashion Week is already showing us some brighter and bolder looks. The clean cut lines, boldness that is softened with Nicole's faded prints are easy investment pieces. Got 'a' lotta love for this collection..

S/S 2012 London: Richard Nicoll

Another collection we, at Trend.Stop are picking out because of the sumptous refreshing colours for spring!! Trend.Stop especially loves the pyjamaesque silhouete at Richard Nicoll, it's easy to wear but still takes a woman whose willing to stand out. The prints are subtle, the fabrics are light and there's an oh so slight and sexy bit o' sheer. Thumbs up!

S/S 2012 London: Jonathon Saunders

Little needs to be said...but this time it's because of the sheer beauty! Saunders takes us back in time, it's elegant, classy and oh so....luxurious! We also deeply commend the colour combinations....there is some colour in London Fashion Week aside from black white and nudes. Hooraa! The combination of colours is refreshing and like a pack of refreshers...we love love it!!!

S/S 2012 London: John Rochas

Right...so this is no excuse but because Trend.Stop was late to the BFC we had to watch the show from the 'Cinema' screening room not at the live catwalk. But hey....do we mind...honestly no! This was the first of London Fashion week where we (I) felt something inside...a sense of well being and i'm not honestly sure whether it was the clothes, the music or for some reason the show made us feel we were a part of something.

It may have been the fact that watching from the screening room your in an enclosed small space, tightly next to others with the music loud so if you don't feel something your a fool. But we're going to say....it was all the work of Rocha.

There was more of the plaits (that we've seen a lot this season at LFW), sculpted on the models long locks with lace weaved in and out leaving. This still represented an almost hippyish vibe and sense of freedom that we've so been going on about at Trend.Stop.

The dresses, had some of the beautifully sculptures that we've come to associate with John. The was definately a huge ammount of workman and attention to detail that always makes his pieces truly desirable. There was also some looser, simple floor skimming dresses that would make incredible day pieces. The real shock from Rocha was the purely black, nude and white pallet especially when he does colour so well! What are you trying to say John...are people feeling tame come springtime? He must be sensing something....As for Trend.Stop this collection is the winner of the season (thus far-sorry it's not over yet).

S/S 2012 London: J. JS Lee

Here's some snaps from J. JS Lee's resort collection awaiting the show tomoro!! There were some pieces of pure craftsmanship even in this resort collection with Lee's clean embossing and the way she created the impression of collars. Looking forward to some master cutting tomoro...

S/S 2012 London: Jaeger London

The show started very fresh and light and then eased into what we'd expect from the classic Jaeger pallette of camels, nudes and black spiced up with a mint and pink colour. Although the collection lacked the luxury possibly of last season. Trend.Stop loved the playfullness of the sheer and lace layering! The colonial hats aswell...take you to a far away land....

S/S 2012 London: Ashish

Right....it's official....Spring Summer 2012 is about getting on your floral pieces and drifting dreamily onto a boat or into a field...and forgetting who you are. The music at Ashish added to this, but it was the truly masterful play with sequined sunflowers that made us a Trend.Stop smile inside. Loved the show, loved the statement clean loose cut dresses, loved the straw hats and not forgetting... loved the daisies in the boots. Ashish succeeds again!

S/S 2012 London: J.W. Anderson Womenswear

J.W.Anderson seems to be one of the first collection this season at London Fashion Week that is truly trying something unique. We ease into the collection with some beautifully articulated slick pieces that would be a brilliant addition to a london lady's wardrobe. Trend.Stop loves the sleeveless "coat" (far left)! Then the collection really moves on and we can see that Anderson is really trying to explore form and how to create it. We love the idea of all the straps and the fastening that goes into them, it's almost as if the clothes are trapping, hugging or protecting the girls. Looking forward to more from Anderson!....Again.

S/S 2012 London: Clements Ribeiro (Backstage and Front)

It's all pretty here! Beautiful pink shades and coralesque blues are used in floral prints at the Clements Ribeiro show this morning! Trend.Stop's a'wondering if this season has gone back to nature with all the prints and the free, loosely falling hair....Only time will tell but we're thinking Spring/Summer 2012 may all be about being free like a hippy!

S/S 2012 London: B Store

As ever at Trend.Stop it was the masculine women's shoes and the feminine men's brogues that won us over at B store this afternoon. We Love Love Love the camel/ orange tone men's cut out mini platforms. And the new style peep toe for women is favourable. It appears it's becoming animal galore at LFW....another show with supertight twisted hair (this time even for men)!.

S/S 2012 London: Bora Aksu

Texture galore!!! It was the full length pieces that we at Trend.Stop favoured...The mixture of tones where surprising for a Spring/Summer collection but the lack of bright colours certainly wasn't a surprise from Aksu. Pretty and poetic, Trend.Stop particularly loved the petals on the floor...aswell as in the hair!

S/S 2012 London: Sass & Bide

London Fashion Week is always full of bright colours and A line cut. This season Trend.Stop wanted more! Below are our pick of the Sass & Bide favourites. The polka dot play is all over this season and Sass & Bide mixes it with texture and an ultraviolet version of their signature style necklaces. We like!
It was also the way some skirt and shirts where slashed at the side that was of particular note....they floated behind the models in a way that would certainly be fun to wear frolicking through a park. And of course....it was the embroidered sheer statement finisher that Trend.Stop have already said stole the show...

S/S 2012 London: Just because we loved this...

Just a fun fresh colourful front row at Sass & Bide....a lovely homage to London Fashion Week don't you think?

S/S 2012 London: Backstage at Sass & Bide

The mood is calm and collected backstage at Sass & Bide amidst the shiny slick dressed Sass & Bide Staff....that is until somebody comes in screaming "we're missing two models". It was so quite aside from this that Trend.Stop wondered whether there was going to be a show! It certainly went ahead and we are happy to have snapped the last piece of the collection....a sheer dress heavily embellished with silver and nude sequins and beads. A true beaut! The beads creatively sectioned up the body! Can't wait to find this in the shop!

The make up was soft, dewy and attention was paid to the moulding a streamlined brow. The hair was clean swept with centre parting at the front and tight, TIGHT braids and the back, it all felt like some soft of crocodile coming out of the water...

S/S 2012 London: Jean-Pierre Braganza

London Fashion week has started...FINALLY!! One the first day we see a cracking mix of beauty and brains (intricate cut that is) from Braganza. Above we see some very desirable pieces that create an immediate statement. It appears the Braganza woman is growing up? She also has a confidence that is still feminine...Trend.Stop likes! Below are some of the amazing cuts we were looking for from Braganza that play with line and form and add an edge to his designs. Look forward to seeing what direction the brand goes in coming seasons!

Ones to Watch out for LFW S/S 2012

Here's who we're on the watch for this season at LFW....it's tomoro people! Craig Lawrence...he does something else with knitwear....sculptural! Fyodor Golan! And lastly...J JS Lee...the innovation in cut is purely materful. Bring it on...

S/S 2012 New York: Pushing Prints

Here's our favourites of the new prints....from floral to more organised. Preen (always a favourite at NY), Araks (so good at blurring the line of masculinity is a fresh wearable way) and Richard Chai Love!

S/S 2012 New York: Can you see the spot?

This season at New York Fashion Week it's dot's have gone crazy. It's not just a polka dot affair...We're happy, at Trend.Stop to say the spots have gone further! Philip Lim embroiders spotted florals all over shift dresses. Charlotte Ronson mixes it up, organises the spots and puts them on denim dungarees! Richard Chai Love embellishes spots onto sheer fabrics and also clashes the classic polka dot with floral prints. We seeing spots.

Spotlight: The leather sleeved Jacket

So....they've been saying the editors in NY still role in style with some of those leather sleeve coats. Well...we at Trend.Stop can't get enough of the leather sleeve coat. Check these BOTH at Zara....affordable but goooood!

S/S 2012 New York: We're ready to Play...'A Pretty Pink Party'

Trend.Stop is always looking to new trends, especially with colour. There is definately more fun coming through with the cotton candy pinks coming through Preen, ADAM and Jenny Kanye. We especially wouldn't have thought especially because of the bussiness woman that is a Preen regular. But...hey...what's wrong with a bit 'o' pink....just for some fun! Note, again the creative use of sheers and the statement shirt is not going anywhere!

S/S 2012 New York: SPOTLIGHT Richard Chai Love

Watch out Trend.Stop says this stuff is shit hott! Everything clashes...but whoever said that was a bad thing? We certainly don't care to remember. The collection ranges a colour pallete fitting to a packing of sweets on one side with deeper autumn purples and auburns on the other. This is a perfect combination for the current fashion ladies! Also take note of the intricate detailing that is a perfect addition to the Chai Love collection. The silhouetes play with the lines of masculinity and feminity in women and the collection has some definate desirable pieces. Thumbs Up!

S/S 2012 New York: Its Sheer Print

It beautiful to finally see a new play on sheer fabrics. Trend.Stop can't deny, sheer fabrics are always some of our favourites. But this seasons play with layering synthetic sheers and silks with intricate print is certainly a winner! Check out our favourites by Preen, Badgley Michka, ADAM and Richard Chai Love.

All I see are Christmas Colours...

Not even in the depths of September yet but as titled "All I see is Christmas Colours!". Trend.Stop predicts auburns and burnt colours are still going to prevail this coming season to continue with the direction of elegance and quality that is so neccessary in clothes at the moment. This will be mixed with a freshness to brighten us all up with citrusy bright Oranges and Greens.

Can't Wait for new Season Ashish!!!

Walking past this sculpture 'Exposition Niki de Saint Phalle' in Nice Trend.Stop is reminded of and very excited for the upcoming Ashish London Fashion Week Show! Not away from the internet even a moment (despite enjoying the sun in the South of France) we notice there may be a darkness on the horizon for Ashish..... ???

This shoe collaboration with Brit cult creeper brand Underground is complete with a bottle of tippex to customise your shoe exactly how you desire. Hmmm....not sure if this appeals to the Trend.Stop reader but we are none the less looking forward to new Ashish design including A SPECIAL HALLOWEEN COLLECTION for selfridges.
He's definately one step ahead....
