In this collection it was all about geometric shapes, easy to wear garments, embellishments through chains and knots. What really excelled was the forward thinking menswear. Cutouts in fabrics is something thats definately going to prevail. Take note especially of the menswear shirt, cutout shoulders, combining knit into a shirt. There is also a current note to the length of garment having a randomness to it, in the case of didonna i saw the length of the front of clothes being longer than the back. There was also a focus on cropped, folded over trousers
over shorts. As seen over much of fashion week this season, fabrics have a great simplicity to them. This is making clothes easy to wear, practical yet beautiful to wear on the body refenc
ing the current credit crunch situation. With Didonna one could particularly note this in the way clothes weren't hemmed, garments that could be twisted and tied in a way to suit the particular consumer. There was a real elegant attitude to Didonna's womenswear; note backless floorlength dresses.
